Cell Phone Dating Etiquette

The dating game has changed with the advent of the cellphone. Messaging has become the tool of communication for friends and family members. Face to face connection on cells has still not dominated the communication between two people and the communication of cell phone usage in the form of text means different things to different people. There are however some rules to cell phone texting that applies to everyone who understands cell phone etiquette. It is a communication that has global meanings and can make for a relationship that can end because of the lack of understanding codes in cell usage. A great example of using cell phone texting that can be detrimental in getting to know someone, them taking you seriously and or them thinking that you are not taking them seriously when you actually are, is making a cancellation of a date, even if tentative, by text. This is considered a very disrespectful way of communication since there is no emotion attached to the message. If you are just getting to know a person, already you have the disadvantage of them knowing what lies behind the message. Must men and or women will look at the move as a brush. Chances are if they continue to talk to you after making that type of move, you will be on their watch list. Remember to call a prospective date and or a new man or woman you have gotten in on their favor if the need to change a date or cancel one for whatever reason, occurs. Do not be on a first date, receive a text and then begin to text the person back. It is just very rude. If it seems to be that important, so say and ask if it is okay with your date to make the call in front of them to respond to the text, unless of course it is a private call that you don't want your date to her, say, another suitor. Of course, the call would not have come in if the phone was off. That's not to say you need to turn your phone off when on the date, but you should be focused enough as to not be disrespectful by not using cell phone etiquette. The two rules stated in this article are simple universal rules to give the reader a reference point of how detrimental emotionally and socially not understanding cell phone dating etiquette by showing a date or prospective date disrespectful cell phone manners. If you are new to cell phone usage due to lack of using electronics, new communication mediums and or because you are making a transition due to age from old school communication to new online and handheld communication, take out time to read up on the subject of understanding the cell phone speak and or ask a friend who may know more about how people associate and understand various communications on cell phones. Not making proper use of cell phone etiquette, especially when trying to date someone new, can be the end of a relationship before it is even started based on miscommunication and or poor cell phone manners.LifeProof Black Waterproof iPhone 4 / 4S Case - LPIPH4CS02BL
