Beyond the beats and rhymes, a daily voyeuristic view into the projection of what hip hop life is like can help aid in black women hearing negative chatter in their heads that makes for lack of self esteem. Limiting the viewing of hip hop videos that degrade women increases a young woman's chances of seeing her self as more than a sex object and makes for having more options to view positive images of being a woman and making career choices that are not just sexually orientated.
